Federico Ferrer gears up for expansion as Thomas Cosmética de España

Metal component manufacturer Federico Ferrer has rebranded following an industrial merger with fellow Thomas Group company Mar-Explot and moved its operations to an upgraded facility in Valencia, Spain. The new company, Thomas Cosmética de España, better reflects its current philosophy and setup, having evolved since the acquisition by Thomas Group in 2011. The move strengthens the company's market position, in anticipation of future growth.

Thomas Group Managing Director for Sales Stefan Benito explains the rationale behind the merger: "There was an opportunity to merge talent, resources and synergies. This way, we have created a stronger, more competitive company. With Thomas Group’s backing, Thomas Cosmética has the financial and operational support to maintain a steady growth curve. The merger brings improvements in production capacity and provides the much-needed room for future expansion."

Thomas Cosmética’s own production facilities cover 13,500m2 across two industrial units. These house state-of-the-art anodisation and deep drawing equipment for the production of bespoke metal components for luxury beauty packaging.

“Our focus remains on the premium segment of the beauty market,” says Miguel Sanchez, Global Sales Director Cosmetic/Pharma at Thomas Group. “Key employees from Federico Ferrer have moved to Valencia and will continue their specialist work. However, this work will now be supported by industrial capabilities and investment, giving them greater freedom and more potential in terms of new product development.”

With a staff of 110, Thomas Cosmética counts the world’s leading beauty brands among its customers. The new industrial facilities are now fully operational.
